TENNESSEE BANK ROBBER SHOOTOUT!

Incredible police dashboard camera footage catches officer Stephanie Bellis in a gun battle for her life with a man that just robbed a nearby bank. The officer used her rolling squad car as a shield from gunfire coming from the suspects .223-caliber semi-automatic assault rifle. The suspect, Gary Brown, was eventually shot and killed by other officers responding to the call. Audio unavailable. (2002)

@JerryD0101 I agree, but her fine motor skills were being affected and she reacted very rapidly. Im not critisizing her judgement to exit the vehicle, I wasnt in that gunfight so I dont feel I should critisize. But It wasnt a tactic she anticipated the car started rolling and she had to stay with it not be exposed in an open street with a rifle weilding attacker. She only had one choice she did it right. Her quick thinking got her out of the ambush. Textbook speed reload, was excellent as well.

@TooFastForYou50 you’re right she should have stood more sexy when she shot and used her invisible shield powers to protect herself instead of a car.

@huskyjerk Tough question. Perhaps there is only one answer – adrenaline … and perhaps fear of his life. Feel to be under fire is a huge flow of adrenaline … your body just decides without any willed reaction coming from the mind! Usually after a shootout in which life defending your life, do not remember much. Memories came hours after that – then fall into shock!

@huskyjerk She didnt intentionally roll the car she exited so fast she didnt put it in park.

@ivanviktorov If the suspect is on foot, why does the cop feel the need to roll the car? Why not exit the car and use it as a stationary shelter? It is the rolling of the car that I don’t understand. Why does she have to roll the car?

@huskyjerk If she was in the car, she probably will get some shot. Think on this – car is like a trap. That’s why she leaves her car.

@ivanviktorov Is he on foot? I’m confused as to why she needed to leave her car. Why not just park the car and use it as shelter?

@huskyjerk the suspect is behind the police car.

Explain this to me: Where was the suspect? Why did she allow the car to roll? I don’t understand the positions of the suspects. Why does the car have to roll for her to keep position?

She was very calm with good police training, but god was on her side because the robber was about centimeters away from target.

@m33lad You sure are mean. I know if I had to choose a gunfighter to help me, I’d choose her over you. I KNOW she’d return fire… You don’t seem to realize the baby she is protecting is YOU.
